June 12th, 2019 - Seattle Sounders FC fall to the Portland Timbers in the US Open Cup matchup at Cheney Stadium. This is the first time shooting at Cheney Stadium, a baseball stadium for the AAA Seattle Mariners farm team, the Tacoma Rainiers. The stadium is very cool, however with a game that started at 7:30 on a very warm and humid evening, the pitch becomes very dark in sections one the sun goes down. Also, with this being a baseball field, the soccer pitch makes it awkward and tight to shoot the game with very little areas to shoot without being in the way of fans or video cameras.
Below are a few of my favorite captures from the game.
